It doesn’t need to be like this
So often, women are dealing with so much. Issues related to pregnancy, birth, and postpartum only add to it. Never mind other anxieties, trauma, and more.
I’m Kait. I am a mom of 3 girls, an Indigenous woman, a multi-business entrepreneur and I have been a Registered Psychotherapist for the last 10 years..
I started my career working as a Counsellor in post secondary institutions, I have worked in Acute Inpatient Mental Health and more recently, I have been working in private practice and focusing on Perinatal Mental Health, Trauma, Anxiety, and more.
After the birth of my second daughter, I struggled with postpartum depression for a year. I felt alone, hopeless and helpless. Supports in my community were limited and I found it difficult to break through the stigmas around Maternal Mental Health.
What I have learned through my own struggles though, is that accessing support can be life changing and that no mom should suffer in silence.
I am happy to offer accessible, flexible and bilingual virtual appointments to women and moms who may be struggling with infertility, a loss, perinatal mood disorders and more. I am also happy to meet with clients from all walks of life and who may be struggling with a variety of mental health challenges.
