Supervision (for Qualifying RPs or Student Practicums)
STARTING JULY 8TH - are you in a Masters-level counselling program and in need of a practicum? Or have you graduated and looking for supervision of your private practice until you have enough hours to operate as an independent practitioner? KOW Owner, Joelle, offers qualified supervision in either circumstance. Supervised clinicians see their own clients, vetted to match the clinician’s current skill level and then receive weekly supervision meetings with me to continue to hone in on skills and modalities. Interested clinicians will be required to:
Provide a resume (click to see details about my expectations for resumes) and participate in an interview process
Carry their own liability insurance
See client’s vetted by Kernel of Wisdom and source their own clients
Have a PHIPA compliant virtual set-up and/or a space to see clients
Consultation (for Licensed Professionals)
Are you a licensed professional looking to increase your skill working with Eating Disorders and/or be more trauma-informed? Consultation can be an excellent way to expand your scope of practice. Consultees are fully responsible for their own clients and their own practice . Consultation simply adds to your qualified knowledge-base so you can service more clients and/or better serve the clients in your caseload.
My Qualifications
KOW Owner, Joelle, does meet criteria as a qualified supervisor/consultant based on the requirements cited by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). This includes being a member in good standing, 5 years of clinical practice, and 30+ hours of training in clinical supervision. I also have a background in education and management experience, adding to my skillfulness as a teaching and/or mentoring professional. Proof of credentials can be made available upon request.
Fees for Service
The fees for supervision/consultation vary somewhat, depending on the specific needs of the clinician. See below for general guidelines:
Student Practicums - no fee (however, all session fees are collected by Kernel of Wisdom)
Qualifying Professionals - reduced rate for supervision meetings ($60/session) and fee per supervised client (approx. 10% of clinician’s sessional rate)
Consultation for Licensed Professionals - regular sessional rate for consultation session ($165 with HST) and no fee per client
